Two white spots on Oranda's head...

I have a white Oranda with an orange head, and this morning I noticed that there are two noticeably sized white patches on his head. Can any one tell me what they are?

I can get pics if necessary.

Pics are always helpful. Maybe some water parameters, if you have test supplies.

I don't want to lead you astray, but I wanted to see your message get a reply to start things off. Depending on appearance, I'd suspect anything ranging from ammonia burn, infection, trauma, natural growths. If you can give us a better idea of what they look like, I hope somebody can give you some suggestions.
