Hi, I'm going to setup a 150g Cichlid tanks. I was wondering if I could add shrimp, crabs, and other small creatures to the mix?

What kind of cichlids? Generally, anything that can fit it a cichlids mouth WILL be eaten.

Well I don't know much about africans..........
Maybe pm a mod and ask if they will move this thread to the african rift lake section. You may get more responces and come across people with more experience with these fish.
Sorry I can't help any more. I'm more of a South American kind of guy!

I doubt it would work out too long. Shrimp will be eaten right away, pretty much all crabs are brackish, and crayfish do ok until they molt. Then they are usually eaten.
You could try snails, but that all depends on the type of africans.

Even my tangs went after pond snails. Some people have success with nerites as they are a bit tougher.
