Adding the last fish tonight. After months of slow stocking my 20g is finally all done. Here are the results:

7 rasboras
6 white clouds
4 gold barbs
3 cory cats
1 chinese algae fish (he'll have a new home soon enough)

and last, but not least

1 dwarf flame gourami.

luckily I still have a 10g to plant and stock, so there will be more fish to come.

Sounds like a fun tank to look at!

gold barbs are pretty, but mine were so agressive...apparently they are passive fish, but I never saw the end of them picking on my other fish, maybe because they were in a 10 gallon.

really? I've had no aggression problems with my barbs. Unless you are java moss, they leave you alone.

Yes, its a very orange tank I have going, but I like it. The fish swim around a lush, low light garden and are all great fun to watch. I love all of them for different reasons. The rasboras, for instance, are adorable. They spend half of their time swimming under the current the power wheel from my filter.

Make sure to keep up on the water changes. White Clouds need a much higher oxygen content in their water to thrive since they are coldwater fish. I have found that the cooler the water the more brilliant their colours.

25% once a week. My filter adds a lot of oxygen into the water, and I have a lot of plants as well. If I were to do my tank again I would have gotten something else instead of the white clouds. Something brighter… maybe to add a splash of blue.

My gourami is a big wimp, when ever I walk by he hides. I caught him swimming around this morning, so I stopped to watch him. He ventured near the algae eater, who stays stationary in one spot most of the time, but occasionally swims up the side of the tank about half way, and back down. The gourami happened to be swimming over him right as he did this. Got the scare of his life. He spazed and dove into some sag so quickly. I couldn't help but laugh. I bet he'll stay away from him for a while now.
