Well a local breeder contacted me today and said he has about 30 EBJD fry at 1in for sale 3$ a piece! :woot: I'm going to pick up about 4$ :thm: then on top of that I have a pair of Blue Gene Jacks coming in time to get started on my EBJD project! I just have to figure out where to put my Freddy cichlid I really don't want to give her away had her since she was just an 1in long but anywho I thought I'd share the good news
That is an incredible deal on those fry, I wish something like that would pop up in my neck of the woods. Congrats.

Hahaah thank you and I know even betrer he's giving me two Blue Genes FREE OF CHARGE! he's swarmed with them has 3 breeding pairs I'm picking up the EBJD and two Blue Gene jacks but it gets even better yes better after talking to him for a half hour I found that the Blue genes are not related the EBJD in any way! This means I can safely cross them with out worrying about inbreeding! Kalen Ken at fishfarm still has the pair he was going to hold for me, would you like me to tell him to sell to you? Send me a PM with your email or whatever you want me to tell Ken I'd be more than happy to insure you get that pair
I appreciate the offer, BUT, I've started talking to someone about selling me 30 Aquariums (which is definitely going to tap out my fish funds for the moment.) Who knows though, if things go well with your breeding project I may even be buying some off of you haha.

Wow what size will those tanks be? Lmao you should bulid a wall out of aquariums hahaha. But yes hopefully this goes well outa 3 fry one has to be a male I'll keep this updated or I'll make a new thread once I get the lil guys I'm picking up on Sunday

I don't want to get rid of my Freddy or F0 jacks right now they finally spawned about five mins ago after almost a year. I think I'll keep the lil guys in a RubberMaid bin with a heater and some type of filter, and sponge filter what do you think?

I would just use a sponge filter on it if it were me.

Ok thanks I ran into some problems getting these fry my lisence is suspended won't go into details about it. But I can't simply ask the guy to bring them to me I do t wamt to scare him away and I'm finding it hard to get people to drive me am hour away to get fish my neighbor who I'm really close to looked at me like I'm insane. Anyway my F0 jacks ate there spawn, of course. Lucky it looks like there about to have another go at it.
