1 of my 2 ocelarris clowns has not been eating for about 1 1/2 days. He looks fine, but if you (I) stare at it long enough I kinda start convincing myself it has ick, but definitely not obvious. Anyways, I started a little 5 gallon hospital tank and am slowly bring the temperature up to 78. I keep my 55 gallon setup at 74 per recommendation from my LFS. I used water from my 55 gallon. Is that okay or counterproductive? I just wanted to get him out of there. Any thoughts? (awaits for Oriongirl to come to the rescue :)
thanks in advance,
Casey

Have you tried feeding your clown the same food that your LFS was feeding it? I did this with mine and they started eating almost as soon as I put them in the tank since they were used to the food.
I hope it's not ich. :(
Good luck,
Chris
Try adding some garlic to the food first. There are some garlic additives you can get at the LFS that just a few drops go on the food before you feed, or you can get the king that comes chopped up in a jar from your grocer and just use the juice that it is in. but you have to use more. It would also be good to treat the ich as when the garlic gets in to the fishes blood stream the ich parricide doesn't like the taste and gets off the fish. Or so they tell me at the LFS.
