Get some sort of sinking pellets, usually labelled as "shrimp pellets"

My zebra loaches loved these things.

My kuhlis aren't fussy, they eat variety of pellets, wafers, flakes, dried or frozen cyclops, shaved frozen bloodworms, pretty much any small foods.

Hikari Sinking Carnivore pellets are always a big hit with my fish!

That said, you should probably supplement now and then with frozen food - bloodworms, Mysis shrimp, etc.

I'm sure if your LFS sells live California blackworms, they will go nuts for it. Mine only sells live brine shrimp...

Hey bud. Pick up some algae waffers at petsmart. They are really inexpencive and they love them believe it or not.

They go for some blanched cucumber too, or at least mine do.
