Is this a good deal?

At my LFS, there is a 72g bow front tank with a stand, hood, and light for $379.99. Also, the glass looks rather thick, around 3/8 inches. What do you think?

Im not sure on that....But a 60 gallon all glass tank with a unpainted wooden stand, hood, and light sells for $100.00 At a Local LFS.

If your going to buy something that costs that much, just look in the classifieds and you can find a much bigger tank for the same ammount of money...

For large tanks (larger then 60 gallons) i think the LFS sells them for an arm and a leg! literally...

thats a decent price. not great. but ok.

around here most stores sell them for about the same price.

The price is OK...if you like bows as much as I do, it's worth the extra cash. I don't see bows as much in the classifieds either. If you're simply looking for a larger tank, I agree with Jamison, there's a lot better deals for larger tanks to be had. I bought my 150G used for $425 with stand, lights, filters, and heater.

it's a decent price, only to the fact thaty its a bowfront... otherwise, I'd pass.

Here's a reply from someone located a little closer to you. I've seen that same 72 bow set-up for $450 - so I think it's probably a good deal.

Moby, where did you see it? The one I saw was at Pet Goods on central ave. The woman there told me that it was going on sale on Sunday. I don't know what the price of it is now, just that it goes down to 379.99 on Sun.
