Not sure if it was Blue, or Green, or Blue-Green, but I got half a dozen of these guys the other day at the LFS. Awsome little fish at 4 bucks each. They love to school and have great color. They will be on my reef tank must have list from now on thats for sure.

they're tough too. mine survived a bad ich outbreak that killed the rest of the tank. good luck.

The green chromis (Chromis atripectoralis) has a black spot at the base of the pectoral fins...the blue-greens (Chromis viridis) do not. And, well, blue chromis (Chromis cyanea) are......blue :)

As long as they don't harass each other to death, they're great! Congrats http://www.thumpertalk.com/forum/images/graemlins/icon_thumbs.gif

so far no aggression, but my tank is fairly large at 125gal with plenty of live rock and only 3 other tank mates. And they must be the blue-gree variety, because they aren't solid blue and they have no black dot.

Most of the chromis that are imported these days are the B/G ones. The biggest problem I see with these fish is getting them to survive the shipping. If you have then for a few weeks and all seems to be doing well, then you probably have a good group. Hopefully your LFS is not getting stuff out of the Philipines which is where the biggest problems are with collecting. I have found with these guys that you either have 1, a pair, or at least 6. I dont think they are near as agressive as the blue damsels and others like that.
