Red Honey Gourami Sex ID

I have 2 red Honey Gouramies in a heavily planted 10G tank. One of them has developed a very deep red color in the belly area. This one swims about the tank and kinda owns it even though he doesn't really hurt anyone. The other one does not have the deep red belly and hangs out in the grass all day. Is it possible that I have a male (red belly) and female pair?

My guess would be that they are both males and one is just more dominant. Often females are hard to find. They have much less colour than males are usually brown or yellowish.
