View Full Version : are some snails good or bad?
In the filter of my 55g tank, there are dozens, maybe hundreds of really tiny snails that are less than 1mm. They used to be living on the glass of my tank a long time and i was wondering if they were bad or good for my tank.
I dont even know how they got into the tank... i have only been feeding my fish hiakri pellets for about 2 years.

WOW!:D
240 gal, that's great! I'd love to see some pics.
Anyways, I've always had snails in most of my tanks. They don't seem to cause a problem. I just harvest them when there are to many. They do help with algea and keep the substrate mixed up.

It will probably be a month or something before everything is done. My dad is finishing the stand, but he doesn't have that much time to work on it.:shake: . When its all done, ill post some pics up ASAP.
