Article and photos posted today. Not exactly "pretty" as some, but still interesting. Sounds like he can get pretty hefty as well.

Very cool, although at 30" top size, that's a lot of fish. Maybe I can convince my better half that it'll serve a dual purpose as a wood chipper :P

yeah this is really interesting to know and yet they pass wood out within an hour. after eating it.

I particularly liked the 3-D of the jaw. Quite interesting to see it all like that.

Thanks for sharing. Very cool fish. You can def. tell they are a wood cat by those awesome teeth. I hope they never think my leg is a log or I'm in trouble.

So, is a pleco a catfish? That looks like a pleco.

Plecos are in the family Loricariidae, which is a large catfish family under the Order Siluriformes.
So to answer your question, yes, this is a "pleco" (suckermouthed armored catfish) and yes it is a "catfish".
