I recetly bought some clown loaches which came with a bonus of ich and/or velvet. It has infected my entire tank. My sharks are the worst. I have been treating with korydon's rid ich, have raised the temp to 80F, covered the tank occasionally to prevent light from getting in, but all the clown loaches have finally died.

I am considering taking my bamboo shrimp out, into another tank, filtering out the medicine, and treating with Mardel's copper safe. Is there amything else that I could do? They have been sick for over a week, and other than the spots that cover them, and swimming against the wall instead of the ground, they seem to be fine. They are not listless, or breathing hard or anything.

One of my gouramis had it quite bad, too, but only for a couple days. He no longer has any spots, but it looks like the sharks are getting worse. One of my giant danios is also fairly covered, but my molly, rosy barbs and algae eaters are fine.

One more Question-Will the copper safe hurt the sharks, being scaleless?

Thanks!!!

I would recommend finding a scaless fish cure and next time remember quaratining your fish is vital...especially clown loaches.
