Time for filter floss to develop bacteria

Hi all,

Just wondering how long it would take to develop bacteria on filter floss for a corner filter to be put in a hospital tank. Just would like to know for reference (and in case I get a sick fish and forgot to keep some in the filter!)

If you condition the floss in a tank that is already cycled then about a week should do it.
