dont know if this ever happened 2 any1 before but was just feeding my south ameirican tank wit bloodworm when i noticed my juve discus swimming around erratically wit part of a bloodworm sticking out of his mouth.i sat there for a moment wondering what was goin on when i realised it was stuck in his throat and he was basically choking.it took me a couple of mins to catch him and when i did i basically had 2 prise his mouth open and pull the worm out.he wasnt breeding so i held him and just moved him forwards and backwards 2 try get the oxygen back into him.it took him a while 2 come round he's swimming again but completely stressed out so fingers crossed he'll make.just wondering has this ever happened 2 any1 before?

I don't own discus, but pulling a fish backwards in the water can drown them..

every fisherman I know runs fish back and forth through the water to help revive them after a long fight and it works. They only drown/suffocate if you drag them backwards for a long period of time.
I had a guppy with some cucumber skin stuck once that i had to pull back out, but it took right off afterward like nothing had happened

I wish I knew that a few days ago.. My kribensis fought and one was gasping, but he died..

I actually used this to help revive a lot of wild fish and one of my catfish that got stuck in an ornament with his gill covers pinched shut about a week ago.

i always scared that could happen. I thaw my cubes out in a cube then do some chopping motion with scissors threw it for a few seconds. Also it helps my smaller cories eat them. glad you saved him
