Yes, and yes. Pull the rock out, use a towel to blot the rock dry, put on the superglue, attach the coral, and submerse. The superglue works through a chemical reaction, so you want to submerse it to prevent a burn. I've never had a problem with this, but others have reported the heating.
Buy the "Gel" Superglue instead of the regular stuff. Superglue, gel or otherwise, may not work too well on some softies because they slime too much and fall off. Also, after you apply the superglue, let is stand for about 30 seconds before putting it in the tank - this will allow it to form a little skin on the outside.

thx i will be picking your brain.this tank is going to be oh so sweet. dude i love your 100 gallon. i hope mine looks as good
with 90 gallons less.
xenia growing like a weed is a good thing. There is still alot of demand for it. See if you can trade it in with a lfs for other corals. Could save you some money in the long run.
I have found that sinularia doesn't glue down very well. You might try using a toothpick epoxied into a rock as a mount, or just wedge it into a good spot.
I have also found that expoxy works a bit better for stonies.
