I got home late today and found a bunch of mysis shrimp larvae in the tank. I have no clue where it came from, maybe frozen food.:headbang2:

Are they actual mysids or are they something like harpacticoid copepods, which are usually much more common. Where mysids actually rear larvae in a pouch, they actually release nearly fully developed juveniles.

As small as the mysids are that are living in my tanks, I'm not sure I'd be able to spot the larvae if they were out and about.

Unless I've completely misidentified them, it's pretty common to get mysids as a hitchhiker with live rock or a coral purchase. It just may take a little while for them to grow in numbers so that they are easily spotted in the tank.

I could easily misidentified it since there are so many look alike creatures out there. they looked like small mysids though. Nothing like the cope-pods you mentioned. I have those too by the way.
I have like three or four type of things crawling on the glass right now that I have no idea of. One of them is black moving dots in the sand. I can't see them well enough with the x20 lens. Another, miniature shells with dark legs sticking out crawling funny on the glass. They look like miniature 1.5-2.5mm hermit crabs, but their shells are all the same. They move like they are drunk. Some colinista snails... and more.
