new cories

Hey guys, I now have 6 new peppered cories in my 75 gallon tank. They have been in there about a week. I have noticed that a couple of them are trying to swim to the top but just cant seem to make it. I have an emperor 400 and 280 on there. Is there too much flow? Are they not able to reach it? I know they have a labrynth organ so Im not sure if I should cut the filter every once in a while to let them get some air. Thanks....

there's still areas of the tank where the filters don't blow the water around? like in the corners? they should still be able to get up for air in those areas.

how tall is your tank and what size tank were they in prior to bringing them home? the difference in tank height may be the key here. give them some tiny little springboards, lol!

they are probably just swimming around, mine do this especially when they are about to spawn.

Mine like to swim up and down the glass too. I wouldnt worry too much,I think its normal. They will find a place if they need to surface.
