We bought 3 Emerald Green Cories the other day. They were fine the first few days and then one of them starting seperating from the pack and had been hiding in a plant for most of the day. He looks much darker then the other 2, he lays there upside down with his tail curled in like he is dead and will swim if you move the plant. Any suggestions?

Cories seem to be very sensitive to water quality. Perhaps some water chnages will help.

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes you just get a sick fish. good luck with the other ones.

How did you acclimate them to your tank?

to introduce them into the tank, we let the bag float in there for about a 1/2 hour, added a cup of tank water to the bag, let them sit 20 mins and put them in.

the pet store dissected the fish and said it was an internal parasite.. must have bought it like that.

You might want to think about getting some medicated food if possible. If one cory had the parasites chances are the others could as well.

Also that acclimation is probably good enough but you might want to do more removal and addition of tank water over an hour long period or so. At least that is the way I do it.
