I have eggs. I can only find three at the moment but the cool water increased flow trick seems to have worked. Hopefully next time I do it I can catch them laying so I can collect a bunch of eggs. Will do a write up with tank parameters and such if anyone is interested. Hopefully I can find a camera to get some pics as well.

I've been watching them for a while and decided to try and induce spawning as I haven't seen anything interesting from them. hopefully they will keep spawning and not need the cool water/flow treatment every time.

For me once they started, they didn't seem to stop, although quantity of eggs did go down. Most importantly feed them a high protein diet to keep them in great spawning condition. I gave mine frozen bloodworms every day, a super conditioning food. I found them very easy to spawn once they start. They don't mature to breeding age until around 2 years old, so that's the part that requires some patience. And mine almost always spawned within the first couple of hours after lights went on in the morning. If you want to hatch a good number of eggs, you'll have to watch them, they are huge egg eaters!
