I've got a Fluval 404 that is a year and a half old, and has recently gotten a consistent rattle to it.
I've double checked to make sure the impeller assembly is clean, and that there isnt air trapped, but I still can't get rid of it. Tried tipping the canister sideways at a 45 degree angle and otherwise moving it around to try to eliminate it, but that didnt help either.
I ran CO2 into it for a year through the intake, but havent the past few months. I'm thinking maybe the impeller is just going bad on me, or could this be something else? Visually the impeller looks ok, but maybe it is non-visually weakened? Thanks for any opinions. I was planning on ordering a new impeller, but I'd hate to get it and find out that wasn't the cause. :o
