Hi,
I just acquired a breeding pair of angels and they have just spawned!!
But take a look at this

they spawned on the unattachable part of the intake..
i want to remove the eggs, and dont want them eaten over night..
i heard u can take a razor blade and scrape them... anyone else have any suggestions?
thanks

take the whole tube out and transfer it. Go to a different filter. That's if you're really sure you want to take the eggs out. If not you can always take ur chances and leave em

I would say leave them along as Angels are very good parent, provided this is not their first spawns and not too many harrassment from tankmates..
Scraping may cause more damages on the eggs. Next time, provide false intake tube/broad leaved plants, even unused heaters, etc, etc, for easy removal
If you really want to try, I would unplug the filter, cut and remove the small piece of tubing with eggs attached. Now you dont need another filter, just strainer will be bit higher from gravel than before.
Suspend the tube in rearing tank. Remember, parent cleans the eggs all the time thus you may have to simulate such with pipette/turkey baster in rearing tank to remove fungused/unfertilized eggs in order to minimize the losses as fungus will spread fast.
Aeration/circulation near eggs but not on the eggs. Look into Methylene Blue.
I would still wait couple of days to make sure majority of eggs are fertilized!
Good Luck & Congrats!
btw, keep the eggs submerged during transfer

hmm that sounds like a plan... i will remove them once all unfertilized eggs have been removed and i will try to create an in tank hatchery near the out flow of the filter for circulation...
will try not to damage my intake

No rearing tank? If not, I would just leave them as is. sUsing hose, suck them out gently (gentle flow) as frys are gathered at the bottom somewhere upon hatching, provided they are not all taken in by tankmates.
Try setting simple hatchery tank, not intank hatchery asap.
If all goes well, number can run in hundreds.
