Hello,
I have never kept Rams, can't say that I even realized they existed until recently. They look like really awesome fish Everything I have read so far lists them as general community. I am planning to set up a community tank in the future with Cardinal tetra's, neons, and maybe a small angelfish, lots of plants and so on, would Rams do well in a tank like this???? Amy tips/experiences would be great. I am doing a lot of thingking lately.

Beautiful fish, but mine didn't do so well in my old community tank. He became aggressive and had to be switched to my aggressive tank. Can't explain why though...

i think they make great community additions. i've never had them with angels, but with tetras, they do just fine. I'd have more than one though, they seem to do better with a few buddies and will be monogomous with a partner once they breed. they're pretty picky about having clean water, so thats a must. they're my favorite fish, i have 5 of them. i think they have great personalities.

Tanks for the replies, It will be a big tank with a lot of plants, rocks etc. I'll probably give it a try, I'll have a couple of hosp/spare tanks running so there will be somewhere to move them to if they get out of hand, I was debating between two and four, and may or may not keep the angels in the mix.

At the moment I have 2 blue rams in with 5 keyholes and 2 kribs and everything is fine, and they will be joining some loaches, marble hatchets and probably some dwarf gouramis :)
