A bought a pair of kribs several weeks ago, and lost one of them two days later. I believe it was killed by the existing krib because he had a huge gash in his side when I found him.
So, what is the best way to go about introducing him once he is out of quarantine to reduce the chances of him being murdered as well.

This is a great question. unfortunately, i cannot answer.
Since i plan on getting another Krib, i would also like to know how to do this.

What size tank do you have your kribs in? They are pulcher correct? I am assuming by the wording of your post that the m was killed by the f? That sounds unlikely to me but who knows? Could you post a pic of both kribs?

I've had both females and males beat up badly the other one. Best way to add a new krib after qt is remove the existing one and put him/her in the qt and add the new krib solo for a few days. Rearrange the tank and let the new krib explore for a few days then add the old krib. Make sure you have a bunch of caves where they don't have direct eye sight of each other.

Yes the male was killed by the female, I will try to get pics but they both hide as soon as they see movement by their tanks.
They are going in my heavily planted 20L as the only residents. if I can get my kuhli's out of there LOL, right now she happily shares her cave with the loaches, but that will likely change if any breeding occurs.
I have three coconut caves and a stack of rocks plus all the plants in the tank, so that should help..I hope!
If it doesn't work out one of them can always go in my big tank, or I can set up one of my other empties, but I would really like them to be in the same tank so I can see their interesting behaviors. Alone she is really boring fish!!

Try getting a male bigger than the female. Sometimes the female will beat up or kill a smaller "unsuitable" male.

Kribs are weird. When I added my male, the female beat him up, then he beat her up, then they spawned 5 times and now he beats her up... Lol
