I have this cute little Cory in my daughters tank, listed as a "spotted Cory" at Petsmart.

This is my first Cory and i don't normally buy from Petsmart lol.

Just need a positive ID so I can research this little guy or gal...

Almost could't see him but it looks like a peppered cory.
Nice Betta too!

Thank you very much. It's my first Cory and first betta. I'm a monster fish guy so I am kinda new to the little guys lol.

Kinda backward huh? Start off with silver arowanas, redtail cats, pacus, oscars, peacock bass, and move down to the common stuff lol.

paleatus also like a little cooler tank, and definitely get a few more-no cory should swim alone! Your daughter will love watching them

corydorable is so right. I just set up a 10gallon for 6 baby black corys I just got from jetajockey. They are very much fun to watch! They're always looking for food and wiggling around the tank, they're just the cutest little guys:rolleyes:

Haha will do, tank isn't too warm low to mid 70's. Will 2 cories do? Also it is only a 2.5 gallon, don't want to overstock this one.

Honestly, I think you'd be better off rehoming the cory. A 2.5 gallon tank is pretty small, and you're fully stocked with just the betta. Cories really do much better if they're in groups of at least 4-5, and you simply don't have room in that tank. Better none than a stressed-out singleton.
