hi my young angel fish (4 of them) constantly have there top fin split and regrow and it becomes larger - currently i woke up to find one of them with their top fin split in two - it is not fin rot or anything it seems to hapen once every other week or so - sometimes worse than other times - but their fins always grow together again fairly quick and bigger than before - is this just their natural growth pattern?
thanks

No, that is something nipping or tearing their fins. Angel's don't do well with large tears in their fins. Watch out for infection and I'd try to figure out what is doing it (ie the other angels?). They are probably growing back "bigger" (though Im not sure what you mean by this) because the fish themselves are growing since you mention that they are young.

the fins grow back together and look larger and stronger than before - maybe they are quarelling among themselves -
i can't think of a disease that woul cause this?
they are healthy otherwise - it's strange i'll notice al of a sudden like a hole in one of their top fins then it will split and regrow -
althought one of them has a very badly split top fin right now it looks like she has two top fins!
but they are eating like pigs and seem fine
