my first saltwater tank has been up and running for three months. So i thought i would get my first coral. I chose a hammerhead coral the base is in a little plastic pot. My question is am I suspposed to remove it from the plastic pot? I also cant really find what this coral water parameters are is anyone familiar with this coral and can help? Thank you very much

Never seen corals sold IN a plastic pot? You mean frag plug? In any case no pot/plug is needed. The base can just sit on/in the sand or on/in between rocks. The do not like a lot of direct flow. They can take most lighting but seem to do a little better in moderate lighting.

maybe scary cause its your first coral but its as simple as taking it right off from where its glued on. as long as you dont touch the flesh youll be fine.
