Need help on making a DIY hood for 10gal

I have seen posts about making your own hood and currently i need a flourescent hood for my 10gal. I'd rather not spend $38 for a hood when i got all the materials i need to make my own. Except where/how do u fix the flourescent light into the hood?? I have all the materials i need to make the hood. Do u buy some kinda kit that has the choke and all that in it??? Any advice and comments will be welcome. :)

I think that you could just screw a couple lamp clips into the hood to hold the bulbs.
