i cant find a good place that lists the differnt characteristics in male and female tanginikan, anyone got any rules of thumb or links?

You won't be able to sex the species you currently have right now. They are too young, males are larger than females with the calvus and comps...
Julies can be close to impossible to sex, especially since you don't have a male and female right next to each other.
