I went to one of the crappier lfs's in town last week to pick up some slate (they sell it under a dollar a pound).

Anyways this normally bad fish store had 3 LARGE clown loaches for $75 a piece. The insane part is how large I mean when I say Large. The largest was 13 inches, th other two were an inch or two less than that. It turns out they belonged to one of the employees who was moving or something like that.

So I came back a few days later (with $250). But instead of loaches i found large (9 inch) kissing gouramies in the tank. they were gone, sold to some guy with a 125 gallon tank.

:bangs head against tank wall:

:edit: 13 inches, not 16

Just a tip on buying rocks. Check your local landscaping company for them before you go to the lfs. I can get slate for 20 cents a pound.
