This unique spawning of jewel anemones in my temperate marine tank happened at mid-day under reasonably bright lighting, these animals reproduce by dividing and I can find no information on the Web that describes jewels doing this,(their close relatives, the tropical corals do this once a year at night, during a certain moon phase).
Any professional feedback would be much appreciated!

Wow - they must be VERY happy in your set up. I am a freshwater guy so no help on feed back but awesome footage.

This is very interesting. It is clear that not only are conditions appropriate for your species, but you have met all the necessary metabolic needs of them, as well. Sexual reproduction is the "ultimate" indication of completely successful husbandry of any species.

Nice!!!

Would check every full moon though as diff species may sexually reproduce at diff time of the year as Ive seen from time to time, but always around full moon in large reef set up (2000G or over system).

I was really lucky to see this happening....just caught a cloud in the water out of the corner of my eye and grabbed my camera asap...missed quite a lot, but at least I managed something. They may have been spawning in the tank regularly....who knows!

That's right! May see offsprings pop up here and there, provided some didnt get destroyed by pump/PH, even by inhabitants..

Here's a shot of a new jewel anemone rock recently gathered on a dive...it weighs 5 kilograms/ 12 lbs....so a challenge to get ashore! It's doing well, with polyps extended and feeding.....

WOW!! Super nice! Do you think you're one of the first to have that in a tank? Looks very rare but extremely awesome. :D
