I've been looking all over the internet for information on Bamboo Shrimp. Does anyone know much about these? So far, the only solid info I have on them, is what I've seen in my own tank. They're a 'filter feeder' and do a nice job of cleaning up around the tank. Once in a while, mine will try to grab a fish, but the lack of a pincer makes it impossible for him to hang on to a fish. This is about all I know. My question is, how would he fare with more aggresive fish? Right now he's in a 55gal community tank. He does such a good job cleaning, that I'd like to put some in tanks with messier fish. Would oscars and other assorted cichlids tear him apart? And, will he eat 'left-over' fish parts?

Bamboo shrimp can only eat the smallest of foods, don't think of it as a cleaner upper shrimp, think of it as a beauutiful thing to look at. Oscars would eat that shrimp within 2 seconds of adding it to the tank.

EDIT: I just realized this thread is over 4 years old.
