I did the 5gal bucket rinse to get the dust off. Then syphoned the rest through a 1mm mesh netting. Looks really good. Ended up with 3 1/2 cups of fine sand <1mm from 1 15lb bag. Adding 6 bags to my 48"X18" footprint will give me just over 5 quarts of very fine sand.
This doesn't seem to be enough to create any problems with anaerobic areas does it? I think I'll just sift another bag this way so I have two bags w/o fines to top dress all the rest and just add the fines into the lower levels (which is where it would end up anyway).
