Does anyone know what these are? I had them in a 10 gallon and now they are in my 33 gallon. They attach to the tank walls and just crall around. They spread extremely fast too and will make the tank look like complete crap. The only way to get rid of them last time was to empty the whole tank and dry it out. I really don't want to do that with my 33 gallon. Does anyone know a way to kill these little *******s?

They are either nemotodes or planaria worms. One is free swimming the other isn't, but neither are harmful to your fish.

They are in all tanks but usually in very small never seen numbers. They only explode when there is an abundance of food. If you are getting such major explosions then I would guess that you are over feeding your fish and not using a gravel vacuum. Try not feeding your fish for a few days and using a gravel vacuum.

The fish will probably munch down on a lot of the worms if you don't feed them and the gravel vac will help remove the worms food source.

Good luck. I had those little worm when my 10 gallon was first set up. Kind of annoying but ultimately harmless.
