Hey msjinkzd, you wouldn't happen to have any indian white banded shrimp in stock would you?

OMG, they are gorgeous! I am sooooo getting some! *happy dancing feet* Will have to be after my 5/6 paycheck ... Have you got plenty? I'm thinking 12 and will cry like a big baby if you run out! PM me please with total costs incl. overnight shipping for 12 + 3 amanos, to zip 38111. Will need them held for pickup, please. Thanks!

I'd love to also get a bamboo shrimp, but help me decide: I'm upgrading from a 20g long to a 29g and switching from a HOB to a canister filter. Also changing out the substrate to a darker sand. Same old wood and plants go back into the tank, and I will be putting the seeded filter media into the new canister. But I'm concerned that the tank will be too "new" after the rescape to support bamboo shrimp. I will happily grind up flakes to supplement their diet but am not sure that's really the best course of action. What do you think? Should I hold off or take the gamble? Also, would a 29g be large enough to support two filter shrimp?

Hey Rachel, I have some staghorn algae and either brush algae or beard algae.. Which snails would do the best job on them.

They sure were pretty fish, too. :)

All our acquisitions are happily swimming around. Puffers have been nomming blood worms and snails--and chasing the mollies that are in the tank temporarily.

What's a Chili Endler? I have Black Bar and the Gold and maybe that is something to add to my stock?

Definitely, they are beautiful endlers.
http://aquascaperz.com/2010/12/20/red-chilli-endler-livebearers-are-bound-to-become-very-popular/

I have a tank of them, and the juvie males color up really quickly. Much more quickly than my Species #2 or Tiger's.

I probably wouldn't recommend mixing them with your others, but they are a vibrant and cool little endler!

I have one, waiting for her to clone. Shouldn't be much longer (had to grow her out first).

Hi, Rachel. Could you identify which class your Black Bar Endlers are?

msjinkzd
05-02-2011, 6:49 AM
They started out as Class N (someone in my club got his originals from John Endler many many years ago) but I have added new blood through the years so they would have to be classified as Class P at this point.

Hey Rachel, I have several tanks and tubs of the marmorkrebs and I started with 3!

In my experience, the higher the population density, the sooner and younger they will begin cloning.

I have one right now that is about an inch and a half that is berried.

The trick is plenty of holey rock or other hiding places and frequent water changes.

If you need a dozen or so, let me know. I've been giving them to my LFS for live food for their saltwater fish and large cichlids.

Nevermind about the marmorkrebs... I don't think I'd be able to feed them to fish.
