I just bought a 46gallon Bow tank. Iwas planning on running an filter on it. I forget what model but it'sthe one that looks like they stuck two HOB filters together. Will this be enough filteration?
Thanks

I have a 55 with 2 Aqua Clear 300s and they do a great job. Many people will tell you that that is too much filtration, but I like the job they do and the versatility I get when I want to clean one and can leave the other alone. I alternate cleanings. And I feel much more comfortable with the extra filtration. Just one opinion..........

IMO there is no such thing as too much filtration...just depends on the fish you keep. Some don't do well in strong currents. I personally have a Fluval 404 (cannister) and an AC500 (HOB) and I love it.
Just my 2 cents

There are 2 like that. One is an Emperor 400 and the other is a Penguin 330. The Penguin will be too small for the tank, no matter how stocked it is. If it's an Emperor 400, which is very good, keep your tank lightly to moderatly stocked.

I bought the emperor 400 over the weekend. That will filter the tank around 8.5 times every hour. That seems like a lot to me but I plan on keeping some SA cichlids and tetras so they should like the current.
