So my Krib pairs have laid eggs twice but none have hatched. Right now they are putting the eggs on the underside of a lava rock arch. I don't think it gives the eggs the darkness they need.

I bought a couple of clay pots to use as caves but wonder how to make entrances in them, as well as what best to use to block the drain hole.

Not necessary to bloack the drain hole, a ball peen hammer (ball end) gently tapped on the side of a clay pot works very well. Just be patient, and don't hit it too hard.

i bought a couple clay pots, just 3 inches maybe, and just broke them with my hands - kind of pushed one side in. That way the bottom stays intact. I never worried about plugging the hole, and I get good spawns all the time.

if it is their first spawn dont worry
give them a few more tries they will get down
raising kids takes practice
