In a 10 gallon tank does the aquaclear mini provide sufficient aeration?

Also is this filter (aquaclear power filters) connected to a pump or is one built in?

The AC Mini is a great choice for a 10 gallon tank. The pump is built into the unit, so it is just the one piece. And it will provide enough airation for the tank. If the fish are gasping at the surface for air it is probably an ammonia or nitrite problem or excessive temperature.

As long as there is any rippling on the surface then you are fine.

Yes the aquaclear should give you plenty of aeration.

I only use AC's for the most part...and I love them. Yes, your mini will be fine on a 10 gallon. In fact, thats really what they were made for.

If you have messy fish like I do (Dwarf Puffers), you might want to go to a higher level of filter. I have an Aquaclear 150. :)
