I have a 24" Atman fluorescent light fixture with 1x 20W white light and 1x 18W actinic tubes. That's a grand total of 38W. I need more.

Is it possible to use higher wattage tubes, or will it damage/burn something?

Thanks.

ballast wattage needs to correlate with bulb wattage.

IE- a 110 watt bulb and a 20 watt ballast wont work.

You could run a 20 watt bulb on a 110 watt ballast and 'overdrive' the bulb, but such things are risky, and greatly decrease bulb life.
