waterflow and filters for a 180

Hello, I'm setting up a fowlr/ls tank for my cousin.. Tank is 180 gallon.. Eventually it will be a reef, but he's starting with live rock, live sand, decent lighting.. . What kind, and how many powerheads would I need for a tank this size? ? Also, what protien skimmer should I use? ? ? This tank will not have a sump.... Will I need any further filtration, or will the ls/lr be good enough ? ? ?
