Good Day All,
I am new to this site and to Marine fish so please bare with me. I am in the process of setting up a 90 gallon(drilled) FOWLR. I have been reading alot in this site and hope I have made the right purchases. I have bought a 260W PC Light strip (2-10000K & 2 Actinic), a Euroreef CS6-1 skimmer, 2 Maxi-jet 1200s, 300W Titanium heater & a RO/DI unit. I am a little unsure about setting up my sump however (how big) and what kind/brand of pump is good and what Gallons/Hr should I be looking for to drive it. Should I put some live rock in it and if so will it need light, to be perfectly honest I don't even know what it should look like when it is done (sump that is). I will have about 125lbs of LR in tank. Is ther any other gear I should be looking at getting other than "sump pump". I hope this all makes sense.
Thanx

You should look at turning your water over 10X per hour. This can be a combination of both the sump and powerheads though. I personally just have a 25 gallon sump under my 110 tank. I would like bigger but as my stand is built I am stuck. The biggest you can fit and afford is the best rule.

So my maxi-jets are 295/hr each and I'm not sure about my skimmer (ES6-1) maybe another couple hundred?? That puts me at 790/hr, so does that mean I need only another couple hundred for my sump? What is a good quality pump ( and quiet).

Thanx
R
