I had a break out about a week ago. Since that time all the symptoms seem to have dissappeared. Today though, I saw one of my neons do the whole scratch himself up against a rock move. Do I wait for the stuff to appear physically or begin medication again?

What did you do last time to treat the ich? The parasite starts in the gills and shows no visible signs at first, so it sounds like it is back. My suggestion to you is to do nothing until you understand the life cycle of the parasite. In order to help you out it is important to know how you dealt with the ich last week.
