Hey everybody,
I've been looking for Schultz aquatic soil and turface mpv for a while and have not yet been able to locate any. The closest i got was one place said they would order it for me but would take about half a year to get here. So does anyone know any places online in Canada that would ship it to me? Thanks

Do you have a Canadian Tire near you? That's where I got mine.
Check out pond or outdoor gardening centres. It's also called Profile Aquatic Plant Soil. Cost me $8 for a 7 kg bag, or roughly 15 pounds. It was more than enough to do my 24"x12" tank.

Many stores similar to K-mart either carry it or will order it for you.
Also, nurseries and/or agricultural stores.
It would probably cost you a ton of money in shipping if bought on line. Maybe more for shipping than the cost of the material.

I had a hard time finding any in Halifax a few months ago, then I found a pond/aquatic garden supplier who had some. Crack open those yellow pages and let your fingers do the walkin'. There must be some pond shops in Saskatchewan. Try also looking for Turface which I hear is the same/similar stuff.

Well i called every store in the phone book that looked like it might have something to do with ponds or fishtanks. Most of the stores had never heard of it. Well i donno know...

Might be getting into long shots, but what about hydroponics shops? If you're really desperate, you could call the folks at Schulz, they should be able to tell you if they distribute to anyone in your area. Sounds like you're running out of luck, may just be special order time...

Looks like ACE Hardware sells it online:
http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1336979&cp=&searchId=10350801127&keywords=Schultz&y=9&x=22&parentPage=search
But for the price and shipping it might not be worth it.
Is this stuff really tough to work with for a planted tank? I just picked up a bag of Eco_Complete from BA (Scarborough, Canada) and it cost $39.99 CAD (Ouch!) This seems like a great alternative.
