After finally moving out the fish that are out of place I can seriously start converting my random community planted to a specifically south american planted.

So, what kind of plants from South America will be good for my 33 gal tank. I have one Aquaglo and one sunglo bulb. The aqua glow is a plant bulb, and the sunglo is for the fish. Not sure what the wattage is, but combomba and hygrophilia have been doing extremely well.

I just need some South American plants that will do well in the tank.

Also I have noticed that under the outflow from my AC200 the leaves of the plants seem to turn brown. I need a plant that will do well under the current.

I clueless about plants.

Moneywort (Bacopa monnieri) is native to the Central and South Americas, and is doing very well around filter and pump outlets in my aquaria. If given good substrate, nutrients and fair lighting it will yeild thick stems and leaves that are quite rigid.

It would also compliment Hygrophylia sp. (Perhaps H. polysperma?) nicely in a planted biotope.
