I want to buy one Hikari freeze dried food to go along with the staple flakes, pellets, and colorbits I feed already. Which one would you choose?
Its a community tank with 1 angel, rainbowfish, cardinal tetras, harlequin rasboras, and yoyo loaches.

I feed blood worms and brine shrimp - I voted for the worms though since the shrimp come in cubes that you have to break up. Less convenient then just shaking them in. ;)

my fish always suck down freeze-dried bloodworms.

My small tetras (Neons, H&T lights, Black Neons, Lemons, Golds, and Columbians) love bloodworms but ignore brine shrimp. My Congo tetras, Rainbows, and Balas don't like bloodworms but love brine shrimp.

Bloodworms seem to be the favourite. Surprised no one picked daphnia yet, I thought they were a pretty good food.

most fish will eat blood worms and crush it up for smaller fish.

I would go for daphnia! At least for mid or high water fish.
My fish seem to enjoy chasing them round. They move a bit faster than the brine shrimp.
Bloodworms for the bottom dwellers though!

Daphnia are mainly meant for fry.

Wow, old thread!
To update, my endlers love Hikari daphnia. I feed it often. I also have been feeding frozen bloodworms, brine, mysis, and glassworms (mosquito larvae).

I'm surprised no one mentioned California Black Worms. My fish love them. I also saw dramatic increases in fish growth when I supplemented with CBW.
