Hi everyone I was hoping someone could help me tonight. We finally got our 142 gallon up and running and it is humming away. We have a little giant pump and it makes so much noise, it is in a cabinet and we wanted to filter out some of the noise. Our thought was to just line the doors with something in hopes of deadening the sound. Anyone have success with this and what did you use? Someone mentioned egg crates ( that is the bedding you use to make a bed much softer, i used it all through college. Anyway, any help or suggestiones would be great.

Try using some scrap foam from your local craft store.I got a huge trashbag full of foam for like 4 bucks.just glue or staple inside of cabinet.also try putting a piece of foam under the pump.the majority of the noise from my pump was from vibration, the foam shoul deaden it.hope it helps
