I just went down to www.cichlidlovers.com in tucsan to get some of these cool little shellies. THe place was awsome I'd recomend them to anyone buying africans.

what kind of substrate is that and what do you use to buffer the water?

I have a similar setup waiting for the fish with playground sand and crushed coral in the filter. was your water hazy when you first started the tank.
 
They are very cool fish theres so fun to watch.

Its black sand. It was hazy for about 3 days, but I didn't get the fish for about 3 weeks after I set it up. My Ph is naturaly 8.2 so I don't use any buffers
 
I am getting a pair of boulengerie and a pair of multis for a 20long in mid january. That video looked great...post another one if you get a chance.
