Custom Light Hood

I am getting ready to build my own custom hood for my tank and am wondering what the differing oppinions are on how to make it. Mainly how tall I should make it. I am going to start with 4x65w Power Compact Lights. Later on I intend to put 2 MHs in it. How far off the top of the tank should the lights be. Should the MHs be higher than the PC or both at the same height. If anyone has a really good cutom hood they made I would like to see some pictures and maybe get some ideas. My tank is a 75 Gallon.

Don't have pics yet (not built yet--just wood in the garage right now), but the canopies ofr the 120's will be 11 inches tall. This allows for a bit of overhang to secure the canopy and cover the top frame of the tank. VHO bulbs are being mounted inside, and the MH horizontal pendants will sit on top of the canopy, over two cutouts. Hope to start building soon, and can post pics then.
