I have noticed something with my frog & pleco.
Today my pleco would not leave the frog alone, it would just keep pushing it out of its way.
Then the frog would follow the pleco around.
Now while watching the tank, the golden guarimi's came down and gave the frog a nip, but the pleco swam right up to the frog and no other fish came near them again.
Now the frog and the pleco are hanging out in the same cave, the frog has never been inside this cave at all.
Did they become friends?
Any ideas what could be going on?

While it would be a stretch to call them 'friends', it's not uncommon for aquatic critters to realize they are 'safe' when around a large fish that isn't a threat. Frogs and carp often hang together in ponds--I'd imagine the frog gets some protection, while the carp gets a reliable source of 'food'--frogs don't have very efficient digestive tracts.

I dont believe that you haven't seen your frog in a cave. I have three ghost shrimp in my tank with a frog, dojo loach, betta, danios, and a goldfish. The ghost shrimp are always bothering the frog and the rest of my fish are always backing up the frog. I think that the frog considers them his body guards he is always following them around.

Bettas are more interested in fighting their reflection then to be bothered by something on the gravel. I have found anyways, lol
If you give your frog ample places to hide if necessary, then the betta will be more interested in flaring at your finger and whatnot, besides, depeding on your gravel colour, might be hard for the betta to discern frog from ground
IN OTHER WORDS, yes, they is fine to be puts togetha
lol
