The Rams are in a lot better shape since the last time I posted pics of them. You can see he feels a bit more at home...and he's obviously pissed at his Ram tankmate...

Good detail... (sorry for the size, but I REALLY like the detail and sharp focus on this one)

The tank at feedin' time....a busy place.

Use as much light as you can (borrow a spare fixture from another tank or somewhere else). Do not use a flash. Turn off your filters so your fish aren't moving around trying to fight the current. And wiggle your fingers at the fish just out of the frame of the picture. It sounds stupid, but it seems to get the attention of some fish - they'll stare for a moment...that's your chance. Use a digital camera so you can waste all the "film" you want, and lastly, be patient.
I had to use the "nighttime" setting on my camera to get the exposure time long enough to compensate for the lack of bright light. I also used the "macro focus", "center auto-focus" and "spot meter" settings.
I tried to get some shots of the Tetras and hatchets but they refused to sit still. I'll probably have better luck with the Gouramis.
My camera doesn't have all that fancy stuff :(
What kinda camera are you using?

Sony DSC-P9. But it's not the settings that make the picture. Lots of light, or long exposure (or both)...seems to be the rule with fish pics.
Ahh...very nice camera! I just have a cheapo Canon A10 - I swear I throw out 99% of the photos I take. I do okay, but I still can't get my fish to stop moving ;)

Superb job with the photo!!!! Really, that is one of the best I've seen of small fish.
