For your information, this won't work, at least not in my case. My friend gave me an 8 month old blue channel cat fish who grew to about 16" inches long, after a few years. He was beautiful, a real beauty and sociable. Any way, we had an accident in our house which I won't mention. But we had to drain all of our tanks. We drained, moved, and restarted our tanks which included a 169 gallon tank. Climatized my cat fish within 24 hours this ordeal, I lost my blue channel and my most adorable clown loaches which I name JC after my uncle Jerry because he has sleep apnia. ..... Any way, After this pain staking task, my blue channel was dead within hours including my clown loaches. They really cannot take any stress after being in a tank for so long. I was so sad, just a very tragic day for me. So, in hind sight, what Iwould do if I had to repeat this, I would move them into a running tank and let them stay there for a while until I got situated again, but this was a very sad day for me. And, will never do it again. I really miss them, more than I can say. If this saves another cat fish I pass this message on to you.:sad :sad :sad :sad
